Big changes are coming to LinkedIn, and there's one thing you need to get comfortable with doing if you want to grow on the platform.

Hey, I’m Shaun. Welcome to my 30-Second Content Corner. The average person reads 250 words per minute, so I aim to bring you under 125 words of pure content marketing and personal branding value in this weekly LinkedIn newsletter - excluding the intro, headings and PS. sections.

Let's get stuck in:

  • Video is becoming more important on LinkedIn. The platform is developing a dedicated video tab which will promote TikTok style videos, as reported by Lia Haberman .
  • Instagram is changing its Reels algorithm to bring it more in line with TikTok. This is good news for smaller creators, with follower numbers becoming less important across platforms.
  • Does your company encourage employees to create content? Chick-Fil-A apparently doesn’t and ordered Miriam Webb to stop after she went viral. Competing firms like El Polo Loco saw the value and are now sponsoring her. Well done Patrick Benson .

This Week's Takeaway:

Find a way to get more comfortable with making videos. It’s already key across other platforms, and if LinkedIn is your main source of inbound, it's only going to go one direction.
