Your LinkedIn Profile: A strong foundation

Today my own mindset & business coach Nikki Vee said something to me really interesting – as we put some finishing touches to my business model…

“Right, that’s enough thinking Dee, let’s not put some action into it!”

And that was it. The push needed for me to stop talking and start doing…

The number one phrase I hear from potential clients I speak to is “I’ll think about it…” and I get it. There are so many factors to take into account; affordability; time; motive; desire; intention; capacity etc

But here’s the thing.?You only need to take the next logical step.

Maybe you’re unable to facilitate a whole training programme or mentorship; enrol on a long-term commitment; perhaps you’ve taken on a lot already and although you need it – know you can’t take it on at this stage. Possibly, you’re wanting to test the service out at a smaller level rather than go in feet first. Or potentially, you’re wanting to manage your finances before you make a high-ticket investment.

When you’re faced with some of the above thoughts, my invitation to you is simply this…To get to where you want, you don’t always need to climb the whole staircase. You just need to take the FIRST step.

So many of you have messaged me about wanting to learn all about LinkedIn – all the marketing strategies that will help you become more visible & attract leads. But for whatever reason…you’re just not ready to climb the staircase to success yet.

Take the first step.



And the first step to LinkedIn Success is –?Your LinkedIn profile

? You could have the best business and build an amazing company page on LinkedIn

? You could be putting out the best content for your audience

? You could be showing up consistently

? You could have the greatest service against your competition

And then, they land on your LinkedIn Profile. Oops!!!! ??

? It doesn’t represent the real you

? It doesn’t speak/connect to them (your client)

? It’s written in 3rd person (Noooooooo!!!!!!)

? There’s no call to action

? It’s all about YOU

? It’s a pitch-fest

? It’s empty and dull

? There’s no Rich Media Content (Images/Visuals)

? It’s attracting the WRONG connections

? There’s too many grey boxes on it

? It’s not keyword optimised

? Your private LinkedIn URL is not optimised

? Your About section is non-existent or is waffle

Wow!!! There is so much more I could have put on that list. Why? Because it’s the ONE part of LinkedIn you should be looking at first and it’s the ONE part of LinkedIn which most people get wrong.

We all know what happens to a home – that is built on a weak foundation. It crumbles

By having a weak LinkedIn profile – it’s your Personal Brand that crumbles and that takes a lot longer to build back up.

So, sort your LinkedIn profile out. It’s the first step on the stairway to LinkedIn success!

Excellent advice Dee. Also “I’ll think about it” doesn’t often lead to action or results. Go out there and do it.
