Your LinkedIn Profile is Like a Tin of Soup

If people don't know what's inside the tin they'll never buy it regardless of the nutritional value you may claim on the label.

Let me explain;

There is a ton of LinkedIn profiles with the title:

? Helping amazing people achieve great things

? Helping companies and brands create great customer experience

? Helping Companies Simplify their Collaboration Experience

? Helping modern companies improve future profitability

? Helping experts become leaders through publishing and product development

? Helping companies and individuals improve their efficiency

? Working with leading businesses, helping them to solve organisational problems

? Helping business leaders build fully functional teams

Can you please pick ANY of the above and explain to me what these people actually do?

Well, neither do I.

Engaging with your potential customers needs to be clear so we can understand what you do, rather then let us spend time figuring out. Because most of the time we won't!

Why not just simply say what you do:

?? Accountant

?? Venture Capital Investor

?? Career Advisor

?? Graphic Designer

?? Payroll Manager

?? Telemarketing Executive

?? Sales Team Trainer

?? Or anything else that we understand

In other words, what you need to think is that your potential customers need to instantly understand what you do and what's in it for them - like if they're buying a tin of soup. Once they get what you're made of and how you can make them feel better - then you'll be one step closer to be bought.

Hi Denis Zekic, what you are saying is totally true, most people don't know how to present what they do and customers usually don't understand the offers. This ambiguity or lack of clarity makes prospects keep looking for someone who can help them with their requirements and does not take them into account. Best regards

Receiving your email this morning advising that my Linkedin profile is like a can of soap, has turned me off, it has made it obvious that you have no idea where I am on my journey. Had you sent me something saying "You do exactly what it says on your tin, but we can do better!", I would know you have at least checked my profile, but right now, your email and been deleted just like the thousands before you from Indian SEO firms that send me an email saying how amazing my site is, I just need a few tweaks, without even visiting my site! So you know your niche, great! Now break them down into different groups, as not everyone is starting from scratch! ;)
