Your Linkedin Headshot
The importance of your Profile Image. Of course I understand how many times I comment about the importance of good headshot portraits, but don't take my word for it. Put yourself in the place of a recruiter, who hasn't yet seen your qualifications or stats, but is browsing Linkedin, searching potential candidates. The first impression is visual, so try this exercise for yourself, scroll through the page of profiles and see who, by the attractiveness of their profile image, would you think to make contact with?
Some stand out by being professionally made, others are selfies and quite appealing in their candid nature, but what of the scores that blurred, too dark, have ugly shadows, what do you do about those. The answer is simple... skip, just carry on browsing without taking a second glance.
You know the same thing happens to realtors in those magazines with full page ads of headshots, it's easy to spot the successful associates, they had their headshot created by a real professional, so whom on that page would you want to work with, of course the ones who look most successful
Doesn't really matter what your profession is, the competition on Linkedin is visual, the first impression is generated by how good your avatar looks, you have maybe somewhere between four and fifteen seconds to get attention, or the viewer has moved on to the next potential candidate.
Great headshots are what I do, you may either come to my location, or I will travel to your's, for companies with several associates who need images for their website or corporate advertising, it makes sense to set up at the company location, it is far less disruptive than sending staff out to a studio one at a time. We could use the conference room if available or in some cases the foyer, or breakroom, It is also more cost efficient to organize a session and allocate time slots to employees according to their availability.
For more information or to set up appointments call 847 803 9450 or email [email protected] , I respond usually within the hour and certainly the same working day. I travel to all the Chicagoland suburbs and as far as DeKalb, Rockford, to the west, Milwaukee to the north and the southern corporate zones out-skirting Chicago.
