Your LinkedIn Header is Prime Real Estate

Here are a Few Reasons Why:
- Everyone looks at your Image first thing! Right underneath are your Name and this Header which is always read! It is like holding up a sign... This is what I will do for you! This is where you should have a concise statement, with your own personal flair, of what you do and why it is important to your ideal clients.
- The default LinkedIn populates is your current job title and employer. BORING! For example, it would say something like Attorney at ABC Law. Your company name is already just to the right of this header anyway! Waste of time and space. Use all 120 letters allotted to share your brand and use your keywords and skills.
- This is where you attract people so that you can solve their problems with your expertise. This may be the only chance you have to really grab their attention and get them to scroll down to learn more.
- The search bar at the top of LinkedIn is magical and I will save that for another tip day. For now, understand that if you choose to search by People, enter one or more skills or keywords, the results will bring up all the people in your network that have those in their Header. So, think carefully about your featured words.
