Is Your Lifestyle Making You Sick?

Many of us have busy lives. Whether you’re an entrepreneur, a student, a stay-at-home parent, or just generally a busy person - this can affect your daily health in the long run. Being busy is praised in today's society and one of the biggest (if not the biggest) problems in society today is being too busy. When you're busy, you don't have time to invest in your health, relationships, or anything that makes life worth living. So what can you do? In this article, we discuss 4 simple steps that can lead you to live a healthier, more fulfilling life!

  1. Unplug, unwind and relax

If there's one thing that can derail a healthy lifestyle, it's stress. The good news is that you don't have to suffer through stress in order to live the life you want. In fact, there are plenty of things you can do to reduce stress and improve your overall health and well-being. No more thinking “if I could just get away for a while, I would be fine”, now is the time to TAKE. THAT. BREAK.?

2. Make your health a priority?

This is where commitment and accountability come into play. Resolutions always seem to get a bad rep, but commitment and holding yourself accountable for the commitment you’re making to yourself - now that means something. Make a list of everything you’d like to change. Now take a look at your list, and pick one item you’d like to start working on right now. Start small and lead yourself into the mindset of making your health one of the main priorities in your life.?

3. Get an adequate amount of sleep

Although sleep is essential for our health, we don't always prioritize it the way we should. Between work demands, family obligations, social media notifications, and binge-watching our favorite shows, it can be hard to turn off our brains at night—especially if we're feeling stressed out. Make sure you're getting between 7 to 9 hours of sleep each night. If you're having trouble sleeping well at night or falling asleep in the first place, try to avoid screens before bedtime (try reading a book instead).

4. Exercise, Hobbies, & Fun!

With a busy life and busy schedule, it can be hard to find time for everything. It's important to remember that you can't pour from an empty cup, so fill the cup with your hobbies, exercise, and socializing with family and friends! Your energy levels will rise way higher because life is filled with more things that you love to do. It’s time to make time!?

Life is about balance and giving priority to things that are important. The best way to get rid of stress is to not let it stop you from enjoying every moment with your family and friends. Take advantage of the breaks in your life and make time for yourself.

Fortunately, l “now” do all 4 steps religiously. Had l started years ago l probably would not have suffered a double stroke 3 years ago. Download free Pacer app, do 12,000 steps/day, 1 hr afternoon nap, 8 hr evening sleep, low meat diet.
