Your blood(y) Life Matters ... at least to someone
It's surprising what a token appreciation can remind you - "Value of your existence".
In this mad rush of life, where you are relentlessly pursuing something or the other, sieving through moments of achievements and failures - you pause and wonder if you really matter. At moments when you think you don't matter, just know there's nothing useless in this universe. You matter, if not to anyone you know, you matter to someone. A simple act of donating safe blood to someone you do not know at all, is a precious gift - a gift of Life. Blood is something that every individual possesses and donating some part of it regularly to someone in dire need, gives some value to your existence.
Don't forget to take some time out from your hectic life to engage in this purely voluntary act of donating your blood periodically. You are in a good position to give life to someone, adding meaning to their live's, to fullfill their purpose of living and their dreams.
Thank you @Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences, Whitefield, for awarding these certificates to your donors. To me, this was not something to pin-up in an achievements gallery. However, it only reminded me of the importance in keeping good health, donating safe blood regularly, so that one can at least be of some value to another human being.
Sharing my thoughts here in this professional networking platform as I believe (imho) being a good samaritan is one critical skill to Grow.
Today is just a reminder to all of us, that we do matter to others.
I encourage all to donate blood. Even better if you can donate to such blood banks which not only collect blood free of cost (from donors) but more importantly, give it free of cost to the recipients too.
Blood donation is purely a voluntary act, an act of love.
