Your Leads are Estranged and Your Clients Are Divorcing You

Realtors, have you ever felt like your leads are ghosting you and your clients are slipping away? The harsh reality is that it might be because you've become forgettable. In today's competitive real estate market, consistency in communication is the key to nurturing leads and maintaining strong client relationships.
The DANGER of Inconsistent Communication
Think about it this way: if you only talked to your spouse or children once every three to six months, how strong would that relationship be? The same principle applies to your professional relationships. When you fail to maintain consistent communication with your leads and clients, they begin to feel estranged, and your connection weakens.
Inconsistent follow-up leads to missed opportunities and lost clients...and lost money. Your leads WILL forget about you and move on to another realtor who is more attentive to their needs. Much like a spouse that's neglected has a tendency to more on to get their needs met. Your past clients, are a goldmine for referrals and additional sales. They will not think of you when their friends or family need a realtor because you haven't kept yourself on the top of their minds.
The Power of Consistency
On the other hand, when you prioritize consistent communication, you foster real, memorable relationships. By reaching out to your leads and clients regularly, even if it's just to provide value or check in, you show them that you care about more than just a transaction. And for your clients you should be sending them gifts regularly (here's a cheat code... Google Client Giant then put all your past clients on the quarterly gifting plan and thank me later)
How often should you reach out? Ideally, you should be communicating with your sphere of influence daily, but at a bare minimum, once a month. This doesn't mean bombarding them with sales pitches and reasons why they should buy now or work with you ( I call this booty call followup). Instead, focus on providing real value. Share your expertise, recommendations and insights, or simply let them know about a great new restaurant in town. Be their vision board (I'll let that marinate and if you get this concept it will be your golden ticket)
Remember, you are the expert in your field. You have a wealth of knowledge and value to offer beyond just buying and selling homes. By consistently sharing this value, you become unforgettable and your prospects and clients will want to hear from you.
Overcoming the Fear of Unsubscribes
Some realtors worry that frequent communication will lead to unsubscribes or annoy their contacts. However, if someone chooses to unsubscribe, it's okay. Not everyone is going to be a fit for your business. Your goal is to find the people who want to work with you and appreciate the value you provide.

Think of it like this: you probably had friends in high school that you don't keep in touch with anymore. It's not a big deal; people grow and change. The same is true in business. Focus on nurturing the relationships with those who are engaged and interested in what you have to offer and want to work with you.
Implementing a Consistency Strategy
To make consistency a reality in your business, you need a strategy. This could involve:
The specific tactics will vary based on your business and audience, but the key is to create a consistent rhythm of communication.

11 个月This is very well said. Consistency is powerful brand differentiator in every industry. It's why, whenever I'm in the mood for fast food, I'm going to a Chick-fil-a. Whether you love 'em or hate 'em, their food and the experience is insanely consistent across the board and I want a reliable experience when I'm ready to eat! ?? Customers want a reliable experience as well with every business they deal with or their friends refer them to.
