HashKey: Leading Hong Kong Crypto Exchange Eyes 2024 Bull Run

HashKey has become Hong Kong's first licensed retail cryptocurrency exchange, allowing retail traders to engage in trading activities.

The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) issuance of Type 1 and Type 7 licenses on August 3 has facilitated HashKey's transformation into the first licensed retail exchange in the city.

?

The company expects a new cryptocurrency bull market between 2024 and 2025, with an estimated 10-15 million users in the next two years. HashKey's high-performance trading system, operating on the Hex Engine, processes 5,000 transactions per second and adheres to Hong Kong's regulatory guidelines.

The exchange safeguards both institutional and retail client funds, with 98% of managed cryptocurrencies stored in cold wallets. Hong Kong's efforts to cultivate a balanced yet regulated cryptocurrency ecosystem are attracting attention from global entities like Binance and OSL, which have expanded their SFC licenses to cater to Hong Kong's retail customers.

Grayscale's Legal Battle with SEC Ends in Victory for Bitcoin ETF Review

Grayscale has won a legal victory against the SEC in its lawsuit against the review of a Bitcoin ETF.

?

The appeals court deemed the SEC's rejection of Grayscale's application as "arbitrary and capricious." This victory marks a significant step in Grayscale's bid to convert the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) from an over-the-counter entity to a listed Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF).

?

Judge Neomi Rao directed Grayscale's petition for review and the vacation of the SEC's order denying the GBTC listing application. However, this ruling does not guarantee the ultimate listing of a Grayscale spot Bitcoin ETF.
