How's your MoJo? this week??

The weather in the UK is still pants ?? so this year we planned our holiday at the right time & have had a massive boost from:

?? sun, good food, speaking Italian, time with Tim, exploring Italy by train

??? literally writing this from the beach

?? heaps of encouragement after last week's email about appreciating my body after years being unkind to her…

Thankfully that's a past history story because here I am, enjoying the beaches of Italy in bikinis ?? and I have to say it feels flipping fantastic.

I'm just glad I'm not a celeb who constantly faces judgment and zoomed-in highlights of their wobbly bits. Even Robbie Williams had a backlash for being 'too thin' this week … anyone remember the harsh comments about him being too fat? The only way we 'win' is to accept ourselves and love ourselves (& others!) better.?

Whatever you do - do it with all your heart. ??

I absolutely love our weekly chats.? It's a passion project & sharing moments of my real-life midlife helps me keep my own MoJo on track. Hopefully there's a smile, something I've learned and a silver lining.

I always imagine I'm writing a personal message to a friend - so am blown away that this article has now landed?over 120,000 times?in inboxes since starting just a few months ago.

  • the reason you're reading now is likely because it's still relevant and?interesting (or we're related!! ??) - and I want to keep it that way!


I've decided to make a little change and hope you'll agree.

PS - where are my peri/meno midlifers?? If you're heading to the beach and use oestrogen gel HRT - give yourself plenty of time for it to soak in! Or you may find the alcohol base is sensitive to the sun … red patches on my upper thighs aren't my best ever look! And yes, I was wearing high SPF ?? You're welcome. ??
