The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Job Loss and Unemployment is a real issue.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly advancing and transforming the way we live and work. From self-driving cars to chatbots, AI is already making an impact on various industries. However, as the technology continues to evolve, it's also raising concerns about job loss and unemployment. Many of you know how much I talk about how most people will not have jobs moving forward, its already happening, pretending it isn't wont stop it from happening. You need to be prepared. I'm on a mission to help people future proof their careers.
The rise of AI-driven automation is expected to disrupt many industries, with some experts predicting that it could lead to significant job losses. According to a report by the World Economic Forum, 75 million jobs could be displaced by AI and automation by 2022. However, the report also estimates that 133 million new jobs could be created in the process.
While the potential job losses are a cause for concern, it's important to note that not all jobs are equally at risk. Jobs that involve repetitive tasks, such as data entry or customer service, are more likely to be automated than jobs that require creativity, empathy, or critical thinking. However, as the technology continues to evolve, and is able to produce art and music, even jobs that were once thought to be safe from automation are now at risk. So if you want to beat the crash, it's time to up skill (we created 1 day resume booster courses to help you transition out of your risky role into something more future proof, reesby.com.au/courses)
One of the most controversial aspect of AI replacing jobs is the impact it could have on the income inequality. As AI takes over certain jobs, it could lead to lower wages and less job security for workers. This could result in a widening gap between the "haves" and "have-nots" in society, as those with the skills and education to take advantage of the new opportunities created by AI benefit, while others are left behind.

It is important to note that it is difficult to predict with certainty which jobs will be replaced by AI in the next 5 years, as the field of AI is constantly evolving and different industries will be impacted differently. Additionally, the rate at which jobs will be replaced by AI will also vary depending on the specific industry and region.

On the other hand, It is important to note that AI could also create new jobs. For example, positions in AI development, data analysis and management, and digital marketing could see an increase in demand. However, some of the jobs that will be created will require new skills and education, and workers will need to be retrained in order to take advantage of these opportunities.

While AI has the potential to create new jobs and improve productivity, it also poses a significant risk to job loss and unemployment. Governments, businesses and education providers have a responsibility to mitigate the negative impacts of AI on the workforce by providing retraining and reskilling opportunities for workers and investing in programs to help them adapt to the new economy.

2 年I don't think AI and robotics will replace any humans where person to person communication is central to the role, fashion retail stores is one; anyone who is a dedicated bar goer (or was) understands that a robot can never replace a real barman, bar woman, as they are central to any bars success. And here in Australia we have already seen the great failure of poorly implemented AI in the Robodebt debacle, which is now requiring a lot of humans to clean up the mess. What I would like to see is the self service checkouts robotised to scan and pack your in-store purchases and save us, the customer some time. But that's not going to happen as they have already replaced their checkout staff with you, their customer. I don't think real IT professionals have anything to fear from AI our jobs, it may augment project teams with support, but not replace them.
