Your inbox in a lead generation tool - are you using it to your advantage

Did you know there are leads sitting in your inbox right now?

Probably like me you get a lot of emails landing in your inbox from people whose mailing lists you didn’t actively sign up to.

So, what do you do?

You unsubscribe.

You let the email management company know you didn’t sign up to their emails.

You are angry, perhaps, or irritated, that someone has broken GDPR and taken your email address.

You might even respond to them with a slightly annoyed email letting them know they have invaded your privacy.

Or you might do this instead…

If someone’s unsolicited email lands in your inbox then the probability is they are looking for business.

So how could you turn this around to your advantage?

If you are a coach or a consultant what would you advise someone to do rather than blast people’s inboxes?

Is it a mindset issue? Do they have the right strategy? Is it a communication problem? Do they need to be more visible on social media?

So, don’t unsubscribe, delete or discard the email.

Reply to their email because the likelihood of them opening your reply is huge.

Turn the tables.

Tell them you found their email interesting.

Let them know how you help people but make it specific to the content of their original email.

Reach out in a thoughtful way.

Ask them for a one-to-one meeting.

Our inboxes are full of potential clients we just don’t necessarily see it.

So let’s reframe that process and build a new habit of using your inbox to generate sales leads.

Yes CAROLE BOZKURT - Sales Coach, Business Mentor?responding to emails can sometimes lead to interesting conversations. However I would say if your inbox is brimming with unsolicited emails it can distract from important information. A great clean out once in a while helps and then the few you have, you can build a strategy around it?
