Half Full or Half Empty? How is you glas filled?
2021 is approaching its end. The second year we were stuck in a pandemic, that hit many small, but also large companies hard and sometimes even endangered the existence of many businesses. So with two years of Corona, a shipping industry that seems to have been turned up-side-down and catapulting raw material prices, is your glas already half empty or still half full? One can become blind to the good things in difficult times like these. So what are the positive things you've seen this year in your business? What are you proud of?
What helped us at Powermints GmbH, was to change our complete viewpoint and perspective on each challenge that came our way. Seeing the new opportunity that opens up with each new challenge, thinking outside the box for new unknown solutions and always being thrilled to learn new approaches and leaving old patterns behind, was a key to actually celebrate this year 2021.
Fictional character Havey Specter in the TV series "Suits" said, “when you’re backed against the wall, break the goddamn thing down”. That is exactly what we tried doing. The challenges this year didn't break us, they thought us many valuable lessons which in turn made us stronger, maybe even wiser, for sure more professional and in the end successful in our business.

Fittingly our new brand campaign motto for 'Compass' is called "Redirect Your Mind!". We lived that motto ourselves throughout the past year and thus we look confidently forward to a new year with all that might come our way. Essential to us will be, to continually build our valued partnerships with our suppliers and customers. Working with all of them as a team, in finding new ways and solving the problems that occur, is what we define as partnership.
So how do you review you last business year? Was it difficult for you to see the positive? Focusing not on just the bad? It is not easy for sure, but changing your viewpoint and perspective on challenges that come your way, may help you see that you glas os half full,- and not half empty!
