YOUR GIFT WILL MAKE ROOM FOR YOU

It is interesting to note that the Bible does not say that a man's education makes room for him, but that his gift does. Somehow we have swallowed the idea that education is the key to success. Our families and societies have reinforced this idea to us, but we will have to change our perspective if we are to be truly successful.

How is the fulfillment of vision meant to work in practical terms? Proverbs 18:16 is a powerful statement that reveals the answer: "A man's gift makes room for him" (NKJV). What you were designed to be known for is your gift.

God has put a gift or talent in every person that the world will make room for. It is this gift that will enable you to fulfill your vision.

It will make a way for you in life. It is in exercising this gift that you will find real fulfillment, purpose, and contentment in your work.

There is at least a gift/talent of the divine in every life. God expect and demand that we all trade with His investment of gifting/talents in our lives and profit there from. “…each man has his own gift from God; one has this gift, another has that.” 1 Corinthians 7:7

To profit there from means: Benefit your life, family and those who may one means or the other cross your path in life. It also means to bring glory to God who invested these gifts/talents in you in order to serve and benefit mankind. The very reason that God equipped every man with this grace of talents and gifts is to fulfil His Purpose and Assignment here on earth first and foremost to His entire creation and in the process get our personal fulfilment and satisfaction. This is the only way to bring glory and honour to His name and pleasures to His heart. Anything short of that will always lead to frustrations and dissatisfaction.

There is something God has specifically designed you to do with your life. That is what has informed the gifts/talents He has equipped you with.

There is a place, a profession, a career or an endeavour where your gifting and talent will flourish and transform you into a shining star. What we call enduring success is simply fulfilling your calling in this life. That means: To succeed, you need to take a closer and deeper look at your inner abilities, then begin to package and utilise them more creatively.

He has programmed and equipped every one of us with certain and unique powers and abilities to enable us fulfil His plan for our individual lives. When we discover, pursue and begin to actualise this divine plan, by utilising our innate powers, gifts and abilities, we automatically position ourselves on the path of enduring success.

However, the responsibility to position yourself on this path rests on you. God will not do it for any man.

Many people spend their lives out of God’s purpose because they refused to utilise the gifts He has blessed them with. Your gift(s) and talent(s) will lie dormant until you stir them up and add value to them. When you stir up your gift, add value to it and begin to put your gift to use for God and humanity – Then you are on the supernatural course to fulfilling your purpose and destiny in life.

Your gifts/talents are divine instruments of power/success creating agents. Yours gifts/talents were designed for your lifting to the great heights that nothing else can take you. God works through your gifts/talents to lift/promote and bless you.

Your innate ability or gift is what elevates, make a way, creates a path and opens the door for you to your greatness and high places in destiny. You have a gift inside of you screaming for expression every now and then! Ever so often!! And every of your wakened moment!!!

To make headway in life, you must ask yourself: What am I really good at? What do I have to distinguish me and set me apart as special and unique in a line-up of my peers? What can I do best?

Make a list of all the gifts, talents and abilities you possess. Narrow your area of strength down to at least one gift and concentrate all your energies on that chosen one. When you develop this gift, you will begin to make extra-ordinary progress in life. This gift, developed to become a specialised skill will then propel you to your topmost top.

It is not possible to keep a blessed man/woman, a gifted or talented man/woman down in life. No matter the opposition you face, the gift(s) within you will always lift you up.

It is interesting to note that the Bible does not say that a man's education makes room for him, but that his gift does. Education is not ultimately the key to success.

I believe in education and I hold a Degree in Economics amongst other qualifications. However, if education were the key to success, then everyone who has a Ph.D or Doctorate would be financially secure and happy.

That thing: Gift, talent, business venture/idea or whatever which you probably see, call or regard as simple and small – ADD VALUE TO IT AND BEGIN TO PUT IT TO GOOD USE FOR GOD AND MANKIND!

If you are intelligent but are not exercising your gift, you're probably going to be poor. If you're educated but have not developed your talent, you're likely going to be depressed, frustrated, and tired. You will hate going to work on Monday mornings.

Education, in itself, doesn't guarantee success though it gives you the perspective. It is your gift that is the key to your success.

The second part of Proverbs 18:16 says, "A man's gift…brings him before great men" (NKJV). You don't realize that the gift you're sitting on is loaded.

The world won't move over for you just because you're smart. However, when you exercise your gift, not only will the world make room for you, but it will also pay you for it.

Anyone - yourself included - who discovers his or her gift and develops it will become a commodity.

If you're a young person in high school or college who is planning your career, don't do what people say will make you a lot of money. Do what you were born to do, because that is where you will make your money. No matter how big the world is, there's a place for you in it when you discover and manifest your gift.

No one remembers those who thought he was crazy. We remember only the man who had the vision and created the telephone.

If you do things in a one and a halfway manner, you can always find a job somewhere. Yet if you do just enough to get by, you are going to remain simply an employee.

However, if you decide that you're going to find something that is truly yours, then you will fulfill your vision, and you will be remembered by others.

One of the secrets of success in life is personal/self-development. Add value to your calling, gifting and talents in life. Be proud of what you do. Make what you do enviable. If you do not take pride in what you do, you will never become exceptional at it.

Writing this article was influenced by Marc Smith who is a very young boy and his electrifying performance at the KICC during the Kenya Redcross society golden jubilee celebration on 8th May 2015 which made the president to leave his seat and go dance with him and later invited him to state house. Today Smith is in one of the best school in Kenya and has been hosted by a number of media stations as well as being treated as a celebrity.

A talent made the president move, not a great personality or education so let’s identify and nurture our talents/gifts and see God act.
