??? Is your genius level of intelligence preventing your success in your Speaking, Coaching or Experts business?

Most of my clients are geniuses. My son and I both have high IQs and I started college when I was 15. But here's the thing, geniuses are often so highly intelligent and so many different areas, that it can actually hold them back from success.

Here are the top 6 ways that your genius is holding you back from success as a coach or mentor:

1. You might think that all you need to do is mirror or copy what other people are doing in social media to get clients, but what you really see is just the 1% tip of the iceberg and there are dozens of invisible pieces actually happening behind the scenes because you're just seeing one entry point of client acquisition when you look at social media, you have no idea about the rest of the steps involved with people becoming clients.

1. You might think that because you can think through the different aspects of business building very quickly, that they should be implemented or created quickly. A business built on solid foundations takes time to build and will never be built overnight. And for those who do have the capacity of doing that, they can do so quickly only if they have a number of years of experience within the coaching or mentor industry, just like it eventually took Picasso 30 seconds to be able to draw a beautiful portrait because he had 30 years of experience.

1. The smarter you are the harder it is to risk your ego being wrong. This is where you often find people talking about the things that they want to do in their coaching or mentor business but they never implement. The reason that most coaches and mentors don't implement something new when they are geniuses is because implementing and testing means risking the ego being wrong. It takes a strong soul to be able to risk that you may be wrong about something, but sometimes it's only in launching that you can truly see how things need to be adjusted.

1. "I've Got This Syndrome" Some geniuses feel like because they see all of the different elements of building a coaching or mentor business that they should do it all themselves.

1. Many geniuses are used to being the smartest person in the room And assume that no one will be able to teach them anything because they are used to being the smartest person they know. Until they meet me (and my client tribe of geniuses).

1. Many geniuses assume that all you need to do is make a web page that talks about your services and put it out there and that will get you clients. The reality is that in this digital age, competition for attention is steep and in order to truly have a successful coaching or mentor business, you must have what I call a clockwork client attraction system which includes an indoctrination education platform and a global movement as well as celebrity status in your niche industry in order to create success in a coaching or mentor business.
