Your Future is Not Set.

I was buying a coffee this week in Sydney, when I noticed a young guy lined up in front of me. Full of energy, healthy, and with a world of business possibilities in front of him. Being twice his age, the temptation is that you start to feel envious of any young go-getter who carries a “can do anything” attitude for what lies ahead in their career. Then I thought ...’wait a minute ..what about me?’ It’s often our default to compare our results to others and never be truly satisfied with what we already have or accomplished. However what is key here is to remind yourself that the future is not set and it all starts in this very moment with the next decision you make – all your choices of how you spend your next waking moment. NOW!

Many influences around us elevate the emotion of envy within us, which steals our Mojo in the present moment and precludes us from getting after and creating our own future possibilities. In this day and age, the barrier of age has been eradicated as possibilities are available to anyone, of any age, providing you are prepared to learn, manage your focus, allocate time to think, hang with the right people, and then at the precise moment, take action to get after it.

My hope is that young guy creates and chases his dream, but right now I’m focused on mine.
