Your Financial Business Changes Lives

Author, Keynote Speaker, Podcaster. Helping Financial Professionals Make More Money & Help More People
As a financial professional, you know how much money matters. So does Rachel Cruze.
That’s right — I brought THE Rachel Cruze, daughter of Dave Ramsey and incredible speaker, author, and Youtuber in her own right, on Growing Your Financial Business…The Woman’s Way. She shared some stellar advice even business experts could benefit from.
Rachel is all about helping people get in control of their money — eliminating debt, building up savings, and getting on top of money’s all-consuming role in so many people’s lives.?
As a financial professional, you’re going to love this episode. Because given the business that you’re in, you understand how money affects us everyday. Your relationship with money affects the people you love, the work you do, and the person you become.?
Going Against The Grain
Even though your natural drive as a woman is to help people and to not see people as a number, you’ve been indoctrinated by the industry to have minimums or to “fact-find,” which can make people feel judged or insecure. Even when you know how important money is for people, with your old-school financial training, it’s sometimes hard to focus on the beliefs and behaviors about your clients’ money as a human issue, instead of just a number. But I’m sure you’d agree that money is only as important as what it offers the people who have it.?
Your job is incredibly important, because you can offer people control over their lives. You can help their children have all the opportunities they need. You can help your clients’ kids better their own relationship with money, because they see how awesome their parents have become at handling their own.

In order to do this “the woman’s way,” you have to go against the grain and not do everything the industry tells you to do. The great thing is, you have intuition and already know what’s right. So don’t follow everything you’re told to do. Follow your gut. Get to know the person behind the account, focus on the choices that brought your client to where they are, and what changes can give them a brighter future.
But what does that look like in action? You’re going to have to listen to the episode to find out!
Be Intentional
At Ramsey Solutions, they teach their clients to be intentional with their financial decisions, to think first before making a purchase big or small. And while you probably advise your clients to do something similar, make sure you’re applying that same principle in your business.?
Before you make a change, look at your numbers. See what’s working and what’s not. Take a step back before spending your money or your time, and make sure it’s going to help. The more effective your business is, the more lives you can change.?
I got so much out of talking to Rachel, and I’m sure you will too. Check out her interview here !
