February Reflections - Have you heard of ‘Glimmers’?
Glimmers are experiences, interactions, or resources that help us feel safe, connected, present and settled. They can bring about feelings of joy, peace, calmness, contentment, and ultimately soothe our nervous system.
It's the quiet tug at the corners of our consciousness, urging us to pay attention, to lean in a little closer, to embrace the beauty of the present moment.
When was the last time you experienced a glimmer? When was the last time you even looked out for one?
During January I was fortunate to get out into the Peak District one (very early) morning for a sunrise trail run and I thought I would share my glimmer moment with you!?
I didn't know this pic was being taken, I was all in this moment. It was like pure connection to what made my heart happy and content - all my joy factors at play at once.?
Now don't get me wrong, it was also FREEZING and I was nearly at the end of the run (pretty tired!), so you would think I’d be rushing to get back to the car...However, I couldn't help but stop and let my face feel the sun, remember where I was, and take in what was happening for a lingering moment.
Bliss. A true Glimmer.
So my challenge for you, let’s make it a mission to seek out and celebrate the glimmers, micro, little or large, that we notice in each day – the small victories, the unexpected joys, the kind smile from someone and the moments that take our breath away.
?? Love yourself enough to notice them.?
?? Value your wellbeing enough to consciously give them your attention.?
?? Show affection to your soul by not rushing on to the next moment and take a breath in the current one.
?? And feel that cascade effect on your whole person.

This is my love letter to you today…5 tips to boost your self-worth and nurture a sense of self-love.?
?? Practice Self-Compassion: Be kind to yourself in moments of struggle. Acknowledge your imperfections and treat yourself with the same compassion you would offer a dear friend. Remember, you're a work in progress, and that's perfectly okay!?
?? Set Boundaries: Learn to say no when necessary, and prioritize your well-being. Setting boundaries is an act of self-love that empowers you to focus on what truly matters to your growth and happiness.?
?? Celebrate Your Achievements: Take time to acknowledge and celebrate your victories, big or small. Reflect on your accomplishments, and let them fuel your confidence. You deserve to recognize your efforts and connect with the joy of your success!?
?? Mindful Self-Care: Nurture your body, mind, and spirit through intentional self-care practices. Whether it's meditation, a bubble bath, snuggling in with a good book or a walk in nature, prioritize activities that rejuvenate you from the inside out?
?? Surround Yourself with Positivity: Choose relationships that uplift and inspire you. Surrounding yourself with supportive individuals can greatly impact your self-worth. Let go of toxic influences and build a circle around you that encourages your growth.
Remember, building self-love is a journey, not a destination - some days this is easier than others. Embrace each step with patience and dedication. You deserve the love and sense of worth you are growing in yourself.?
