Designing a Versatile Engine Block Test Bench
In order to refurbish a 59-years-old engine test bench,?Zeppelin Baumaschinen?had to measure several engines of various sizes and weights.?Given the complex geometries of the engines, it would not have been possible to record all the necessary dimensions without 3D scanning. Their HandySCAN 3D|BLACK enabled them to quickly record connection points with the test bench,? such as?fresh air and exhaust gas, as well as the dimensions of the flywheel for individual engines.?
MONTHLY HIGHLIGHTS?
NDT: 75% Fewer Targets for Faster, More Precise Inspections
Creaform has been advocating 3D scanning as an innovative solution for corrosion assessment for more than ten years. Throughout those years, however, we have seen a recurring demand for eliminating positioning targets during data acquisition. The answer? The new HandySCAN 3D|MAX Series, designed specifically for large parts
EV Battery Trays Inspection: Challenges and Solutions
How can an EV part manufacturer perform quality inspection within the required time and tolerances??Is it possible to measure these large parts accurately directly on the shop floor??Can a measuring instrument capture complex 3D surfaces efficiently, even the reflective materials? Find the answers to these questions, and more.?
