Your Favorite Annoying Village Boy Is Back.

It's your favorite village boy here, I took a long hiatus from the LinkedIn community. During that time a lot has happened. Layoff is happening non stop, inflation is through the roof. I found out my HOA fee will not increase for the year 2023 which is excellent. Lastly, I became a father. Fatherhood is great, It is something that I greatly enjoy. I’m still learning each day some aspect of my new role .? As I ponder and reflect on why I was posting on LinkedIn, A few things came to my mind. During my posting era, I was too concerned about whether or not people were reading my post? or whether I was producing enough value or adding something meaningful? to the greater LinkedIn community.? The more posts I see, and read on this platform,? the more I have realized, maybe I actually might have something valuable to share .?
What is my end game for posting? I'm not sure,? I don't have a long term strategic goal of how many followers I need to acquire on a weekly basis. I just want to share my part of this journey we are going through that's called life. I think each of us is unique and our individual perspective is worth sharing. There is no wrong or right answer when it comes to a person's particular perspective.?
Perspective?
Your perspective matters, in some aspect it defines who you are and shapes you and how you view the world. Sharing your perspective is not a form of invalidating someone else's experience, rather it might expand someone else's view on how they see things.? I love talking to people. A lot of people might think I'm a social butterfly. I love to hear others' perspectives and experiences.? It? helps me grow as a person by understanding someone else's why the view things differently. Don't let someone describe your perspective for you ,you are in control of what your message is. There is no score card,? because each story is unique and that's just fine.???
Listen
?Whenever I talk to someone and listen deeply, the more I realize,? I might actually not have an answer to the problem that has been described.? Listening without thinking of what the answer might be or with an agenda of why the problem exists has allowed me to have joy in the conversation I have with people.
See you next week's LinkedIn community.
Merry Christmas !
