Bring in the board
Hopefully, your board is already involved. If not, here are a few things to consider. One, make sure every board member fulfills their annual pledge ASAP. Two, ask them to create a board-matching challenge. Three, ensure they get employers to match their gifts. Finally, ask each member to reach out to two people to invite them to give.
Revert to what works
Trying new strategies for each campaign is fun, but sometimes those ideas fail to deliver. Compare this year's plan with past campaigns and examine the performance metrics. If specific tactics are not fruitful, shift your efforts to what moved the needle in past giving campaigns. Don't throw out your entire plan. Just focus some energy on the tried and true tactics.
Retarget with ads
Spend money to raise money by using digital ads. Specifically, target ads to "warm" leads - people who engaged with you. Don't reinvent the wheel in creating these ads. Look at your top-performing content, like a viral social post or a dynamite email subject. Repurpose that for ad copy, and you'll be well on your way to inspiring more people to give.
