Is Your Ego Getting In The Way Of A Winning Presentation?

If you are only giving your presentation to massage your ego, you will probably fail!

Because the only people who count are the audience, and the only thing that matters is whether they understand your message.

Everyone in the room has come to listen to you for a reason, but unless you know WHY they’ve come and WHAT they want to take away from the session, your presentation will fall flat.

So ask yourself:

? Why is the audience here?

? What are the key takeaways?

? Does the presentation fulfil your audience’s desires? (Because if you fail to fulfil their desires, you invariably fail to achieve your objective.)

Remember, it’s not enough to just get your points across. Knowing the WHY and WHAT of your audience’s needs will ensure your points are understood.

So the next time you put down the microphone, consider whether the audience got what they came for and whether your message has been understood. If you can tick the box to both, it’s a winning presentation.
