Are Your Dreams Getting Dusty?
Today, as I was eating my cheese quesadilla, I found myself engrossed in the TV show American Pickers. But it hit me that my enthusiasm for the show was dwindling. Host Mike Wolfe is practically my neighbor here in Tennessee and it became apparent to me that he was essentially scavenging the remnants of forgotten dreams and unlived lives. Their white Antique Archeology cargo van pulling up to aging barns, the final resting place for aspirations for the living or the unsung legacies of those who've left us.
Lately, as I dive deeper into writing my latest book, I've started paying closer attention to everything around me. Inside these neglected spaces, I've witnessed it all: half-done projects, abandoned bucket list dreams, half-built cars, scattered motorcycle parts resembling a box of Legos, and ideas left to gather dust. Signs hang motionless, their intended purpose unfulfilled.
It's not that dreams die due to inaction; they fade because we choose not to chase them. We keep waiting for that perfect moment, more time, or more money. But the truth is, even when we attain that "more," the craving for more never truly subsides.
Your dreams likely don't involve reviving a Model T. I'm guessing they involve building a life that matters and that allows you the freedom to have the impact and influence you desire.
That's precisely what The Thing is all about, and I'd love if you would join us. However, we're only weeks away, and time is slipping away. You need to secure your tickets now and book your hotel to secure your spot.

One last thought, American Pickers is on the History Channel. Those that actually make history are those that bet on themselves. I beg you to pick yourself and listen to the voices inviting you to show for your own life.
Alternatively, you can keep waiting for that elusive 'one day,' endlessly hoping for the perfect circumstances. Or, you can choose today as the first day of your journey.
The choice is yours—One day or Day One.
