A small suggestion on all the digital transformation efforts, projects, initiatives…
?
Conclusion?
If we want to make a digital transformation successful in the long term and truly want to become data-driven, Data Excellence is necessary. Like it or not ??.
How are you going to start digitizing if there is not yet a consensus about which data it concerns and what it really means? Or where the 'only version of the truth' is today or should be tomorrow? I can give hundreds of examples to make my point clear.
By implementing Data Excellence from the start, all investments yield real value and you will have profit on the long run. This allows you to adjust business processes, improve data quality, increase (technical or business) efficiency, comply with data protection, etc. But this also allows you to start analyses, profiling, extrapolations and see patterns.
In other words; we should not be too short-sighted when we embark on digital transformations or digitization. The 'quick and dirty' principle should be history by now to ensure that the investments are sustainable and that the data is processed properly. You will be grateful afterwards if Data Excellence is included from the start, believe me…
?
Important note: this also provides a lot of fun and satisfaction for everyone during the implementation of your digital project, so only from that perspective it necessary ??.

1 年Inès Herbosch I am so happy to see "DT" and data hand in hand for the best. A message that is not allways so clear for stakeholders.
