Data Organization:

Before running the analytics, we organize and prep the data. We take in both real-time and historical data, structured or unstructured, and categorize it as Hot, Warm and Cold. Hot data is available almost instantly and changes rapidly while cold data is typically historical that does not change much through time. This classification allows us to conduct cost optimized analysis with different performance across tiers. Once the data is prepped, we’re ready to build out the architecture in Microsoft Azure, tailoring the analytics to your needs.

Business Intelligence:

We use Power BI to serve up the analytics results in an easily digestible, intuitive way that allows you to draw conclusions and make decisions. By providing timely insights and the ability to drill down and analyze data, you can identify business issues early and adjust before they end up costing a lot more. 1.????Fortune 500 retailer???

One of our clients, a Fortune 500 retailer, was looking to better manage inventory and order fulfillment during their peak season. This involved a combination of producing, storing, and shipping inventory to physical brick-and-mortar locations, as well as fulfilling direct to consumer online orders. With millions of dollars of inventory across thousands of orders and locations across the country moving daily, you could imagine the difficulty in managing the right amount of inventory and keeping the supply chain running smoothly. We built a system that managed fulfillment of hundreds of sales per minute, monitoring every step in the process. Our client’s dashboard highlighted any areas that started to drop in performance and gave them the ability to drill down to find specific issues so that management at the fulfillment center could be alerted and address the problem.

2.????Liquor sales

In the liquor business, taxes are paid upon shipment, rather than upon sale to a customer. Our client wanted to better manage their cash flow between the amount of inventory to produce with the amount of product they needed for shipment to their distributor. There was a tricky balance in having enough product at the distributor to complete sales orders, while not shipping too much to the distributor upfront as it would require a heavy tax bill before it was even sold to customers. We built out a machine learning framework that could predict when customer orders were more or less likely to come in and alert the company of the best times to ship out product that optimized their cash flow between production, tax upon shipment, and sales.

3.????Healthcare company

A problem that most hospitals and healthcare practices face is the no-show: when patients simply don’t come in for their scheduled appointment. This results in loss of revenue and inefficiency in running the business when a timeslot that should have gone to servicing a patient is wasted. One of our clients wanted to face this challenge head on. Our solution helped calculate the probability of the number of no-shows based on statistics on average no show frequency, time of day, day of the week, time of year so that the healthcare company could slot in additional patients.
