At our company, we actively support our people with their development goals through resources like our tuition reimbursement program, mentorships, and in-house trainings. One of these programs is our Associate Development Program (ADP), a dedicated leadership training program that helps our frontline associates prepare for future growth opportunities. Jennifer Ransom , Learning and Development Manager II and champion of this program, shared:

"ADP is a leadership development program for select frontline associates who are interested in being leaders in the Customer Department. The program focuses on teaching the basic skills and leadership traits that make a good leader. The program is eight weeks and includes both virtual classroom lessons and simulated experience practice. One of our company values is being Unconventional in our approach to learning and development. We believe that all associates deserve development, and this course is just one piece of that development journey. ADP associates work closely with their manager to master their core role to prepare for ADP. It is a unique program that gives associates an up close view into the life of a manager."

Many of our current leaders at 1-800 Contacts have graduated from the ADP course. It's time intensive for both the students and the mentors, but developing our people is central to our culture and mission. We can't wait to see what this next cohort of graduates achieves.
