Have you closely observed how quickly the world has changed before and even today??
??
There was a time when I had to travel for 1 hour from my college to the bus stop to book a bus ticket and return. And in case it was not available, I used to go and talk to every shopkeeper nearby and try to get the ticket. So that used to cost me 4 hours on average. Now, imagine a working employee in my place; that would cost him/her half a day's salary, 5000/10000/20000. Fast forward to now, we have several mobile apps that help us book our tickets from home in four to five clicks; this saves hours of our time. But until pointing this out, it is hard for people to realize.?
??
Now, imagine a second scenario; we used to go to the restaurant to get food, leaving any of our work in between. Today, if you are willing to spend 30-40 extra, you can get your order delivered to your doorstep.??
?

You might know about the big giants in this food industry space. Let me share with you how they have a complex algorithm and structure between us placing an order and getting it delivered to us. So, you might already know that while ordering something, you select from the food menu and place the order. The moment you place an order, there are three to four emails that go to different people, including the restaurant owner, one to the delivery boy, one to yourself, and the company owner. This happens so that each person can track the order by themselves. And this process repeats even when the delivery boy picks up the order and delivers the food to your door.?

And exactly after 45 minutes of delivery, you get a notification on your mobile phone asking if you liked the food. The reason behind this 45-minute gap is that on average, the time required for food consumption is 45 minutes. Then, if you like it, the ranking of the restaurant goes to the top and if not, it goes to the escalation team. From there, the escalation team keeps track of how to resolve the ticket.?
??
Now, this whole process does not require any human intervention to sit and send you email after email, to accept payments, or even to rank the restaurants. It's completely automated with the help of several tools and software. And that's how such companies are growing at a very fast track. However, certain companies have not yet implemented this and are yet to be successful. And this is just one example, there are several companies following a similar process for their steady and fast growth in varied industries and domains.?
The journey from manual to automation is something that each of us must take in the coming days; it's just about whether you take this change positively or keep complaining and not upgrade yourself.?
The past tells us about various iconic organizations and companies that had tried to avoid change and lost the market in the present times.?
Do you know of any such companies??
