Is it your "Day One" or just One Day?

There used to be a small family. A happy couple with their sweet son of 10 years. Both were working really hard to earn every day for bread and butter. They had a very small house at the outskirts of the city as they could not afford the one within the same. Despite of day to day challenges they never left any single stone unturned to give best upbringing to their son. So, these ,all , were being noticed by their child. And he, secretly, had written something very heart touching in his diary. The diary reads, Dear mamma and papa, I am very thankful to have you in my life who has sacrificed so much to get me the best.

From the “Day one" you had decided what I would get in my life in stead of waiting for something good to happen believing “One day" everything would be fine and you both would be capable enough to provide me what i am getting right now. And I have decided “ One day" you will be proud of me when i will be capable enough and when from the “ Day One" you won't be struggling and sacrificing anymore. That one day is arriving and all the luxuries would be welcoming you both with both hands open. And this is my promise to you and a tribute to all your efforts.

Perhaps this is how I understand the meaning of life. Life is all about ups and down. Some become day one and some one day. It simply means that whether you kept on planning and deciding to do something that you really want to do someday maybe later or you can just start instantly working on it and begin your day one. It is simply about a choice you have to make between doing it or procrastination. One day means some day in the future. It indicates procrastination. Day one means from today onwards. Present moment. It indicates that you are willing to take action now. Day one brings victory closer to you.

“One Day” means some day in the future. “One day I’ll visit Paris.” The deeper meaning though is that it’s never going happen; it’s wishful thinking. The person waiting for one day is not doing anything to make it happen. “One day” never comes. “Day One” means the first day of a plan or figuratively, “What’s the first thing you are going to get done.” E.g., “Day one, we hike in and set up base camp. Day two, we scale the peak and return to base camp. Day three, we take down base camp and hike out.” It means you have specific goals and accomplishments and a way to achieve them.

So the phrase means you can continue with wishful thinking that is never going to get you what you want or you can start planning and acting to accomplish what you want. A successful entrepreneur was asked to tell his story when his startup reached $1 Billion valuation. He spoke, “One Day I was so frustrated with the repeated work at the office that it became the Day One of my dream.” For me ' one day' signifies Hope and positivity and ' day one' signifies confidence and determination. The term “one day” implies something that will occur, or be done, at some point in the future. i.e. One day, I will take the time to start writing a book.

The term “day one” implies that on the first day of an event, or project, a certain schedule will be followed, or a certain activity will take place, with the understanding that additional days will follow that are in connection with the objective. i.e. On day one, God said, “let there be light.” And we all know that different objectives will be met over the next six days of creation.
