Alumni Spotlight: Ryan Hoppe
Meet Ryan Hoppe, the Unstoppable Force of Radio
Ryan Hoppe, a 2014 graduate of the Illinois Media School (formerly Illinois Center for Broadcasting), has been making monumental strides in the radio industry. From his humble beginnings in first grade, when his passion for radio sparked, to his current role as a "Jack of all Trades" at Beasley Media Group in Tampa, Ryan's career trajectory is nothing short of inspiring.
Journey from Aspiration to Achievement
Ryan's career began in 2012 when he made his on-air debut at Harper College Radio WHCM 88.3. This experience was a stepping stone that led to internships at the Morning Show Boot Camp and enrolling at the Illinois Media School. During his time at IMS, Ryan hosted two highly popular internet radio shows, "The Hoppe & SuperRICH Show" and "The Friday Sports Riot," interviewing sports legends and industry pros along the way.
Building Expertise and Recognition
Ryan's hands-on experience extended to Dance Factory Radio and WNUR 89.3 FM. His notable seven-year tenure with Cox Media Group 102.5 The Bone earned him multiple nominations for "Best Up and Comer Radio Personality" and "Best Radio Personality in Tampa Bay Radio." Now at Beasley Media Group in Tampa, Ryan excels in promotions and production across multiple stations, including Wild 94.1, 98.7 The Shark, 99.5 QYK, Q105, and 92.5 Maxima.
The Award-Winning "Hoppe Hour"
Ryan's achievements are further highlighted by his award-winning podcast, "Hoppe Hour," available on all major podcasting platforms under "Hoppe Radio." This platform has positioned him as a significant voice in the radio industry, drawing comparisons to luminaries like Howard Stern and Pete Davidson.

We would like to express our gratitude to Garrett Bush, alumnus of Ohio Media School 2010, for being our guest on the BeOnAir Forum. During this webinar, Garrett shared his strategies for achieving Media Success in the field of media and broadcasting. A well-known on-air personality, Garrett is a co-host on the very popular YouTube show "The Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show" which also airs daily on TV3, WKYC Studios. In addition, Garrett co-hosts on the Cleveland Browns Radio Network and is host of the Locked on Browns podcast. Garrett also continues to host The Barbershop, his weekend show on Audacy, Inc. 92.3 The Fan, Saturdays from 8:00 am to Noon.
