A novel learning-based framework, the Manual-to-Executable Plan Network (MEPNet), which reconstructs the assembly steps from a sequence of manual images, taking a LEGO manual and creating a machine executable plan that can be executed to build the target shape (see image above).

A learning-aided 3D lidar reconstruction framework that upsamples sparse lidar depth measurements with the aid of overlapping camera images so as to generate denser reconstructions with more definitively free space than can be achieved with the raw lidar measurements alone using an encoder-decoder system and mapping network to predict dense depth images.
