Your CV is rubbish
The again, so is mine. I have had my CV reviewed and rewritten more times than I can recall, I've even paid for it.
But any time I show anyone my CV they tell me all the things that are wrong with it.
Apparently, one is supposed to write a special CV for each and every job application, tailoring it to the job being applied for.
Also apparently, if it doesn't have all the right keywords in the right order and right places, it will rejected by the automated processing used to ensure humans don't need to be employed to look at it.
When I worked for a Workday partner, I used my Workday Community login to ask if anyone had an example CV that would pass through Workday's parsing mechanism correctly. It seemed a logical request - if you're going to use automated processing, give me a template so I can work with it. I never found such a thing - and to be fair to Workday, they are not the only offenders.
If you're looking for the killer solution at this stage - I don't have one. One thing I do know is that the countless opinions expressed as fact about what a CV must look like can't all be correct.
It's baffling.
Thanks for sharing - very apt.

10 个月If I had my way my CV would contains company and period I worked for and profile of my role. Keep it simple forget key words and let’s have old fashioned conversation. But attempt to save cost drives companies to automation that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Working with different clients I don’t think I have had one where I didn’t have to stop them at some point and ask “where is a human touch in this process? What happened to old fashioned conversation?” Recruitment isn’t ready for full automation for sure, other processes why not but companies need to ensure the conversations are happening- otherwise diversity and inclusion is going down the drain. And inclusion also means having human interaction by simple conversation.
