Is Your Customer Service Outdated?

It is safe to say that in 2019 things have grown to be super competitive! It does not matter what industry you are in if you are not meeting your customer's needs by connecting with them, offering consist service, and keeping up with tools that will allow you to stand-out you maybe heading down toy-r-us row! How is that toy-r-us, the largest toy store closed down? They failed to give an experience, they gave up their lane and allowed other companies to merge into their lane. It is safe to say they did not have any sort of road-rage. It's like they just gave up the fight.

When I hear a company say that's how we have always done it, I'm not using all of that technology, or...wait my favorite is we don't have money to bring in an outside speaker/customer service consultant. In reality, you are saying I don't see the value in offering my customers an experience that will keep them coming back to spend money with the company. Are you missing out on your chance of being recognized as a company that is an industry leader in customer service? Are you missing out on having customers rave about your company? If you don't have a set customer service plan that reflects update strategies, you are missing out on new business, retention, and most likely engaged employees.

Customer service is not sexy or cool to discuss because may hate the dark side which for some are customer complaints. In reality without great customer services customers you run the risk of being another toys-r-us. I hope that you will take the opportunity to see where you can make changes to your customer service as it relates to every department within your company.
