Your Creativity will be good for nothing...

It is an incidence of my graduation time. There was one Professor, she was really supportive and friendly with me. I have gained lots of new things & learning from her. Many of my achievement’s credit goes to her also. One day because of some happening everything changed. Actually, she suggested a 3 months course for me but I said ‘No’ , as I didn’t felt myself much capable of managing both studies and course at the same time. It was my first ‘No’ to her, so she was disappointed. It was genuine also. I too was not happy as I was rejecting ‘Guru’s Agya’. Actually that time Graduation was the only focus of mine.

I was sitting in her lecture, everyone was listening sincerely. I also thought that everything is now normal but an unexpected thing happen. She pointed out to me in front of the whole class and said “I asked Purvi to do a particular course but she is not interested, Actually these type of girls today are good, but they have no future, their talent, achievements all will vanish with time. Your creativity will be good for nothing." There was pin drop silence in the class and all were looking at me. After her lecture my classmates were telling me that she has done very wrong to you, you must reply her. My parents have always taught me to respect elders, so their teachings didn’t allow me to take any action. In fact, I greeted her very warmly. I was behaving as if nothing has happened & I am ok, but genuinely I was shaken from inside.

Because of this incident, I started feeling that I will be nothing, I was awfully worried about my future, and was not able to sleep for nights. Those sentences were revolving around my ears.

Slowly there was everything normal & she again started supporting me... but a small pinch, a fear was always in heart.

So Bosses, Mangers, Leads never say such words to your subordinates which may harm their dignity. It really demotivates them and makes them unnecessarily worried. 

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Friends, don’t feel bad and disappointed if your lead has told something bad to you, it might happen that their intention is not wrong. Don’t get distracted because of that.

When someone does something wrong, don’t forget about all the things they did right.

Believe in work, if we are good, we are right then nothing can stop us to achieve our dreams.

So, today I feel that “Negativity… is good for nothing.”

Worry is a total waste of time. It doesn't change anything. All it does is steal your joy & keeps you very busy doing nothing.
