?LEO Cork City is one of 31 Local Enterprises Offices across the local authority network that combine the expertise of Enterprise Ireland and the broad reach of local authorities to provide services to all levels of business, including entrepreneurs, sole traders, micro businesses and small and medium sized companies, in accessing government supports.?Our Mission is to promote entrepreneurship, foster business start-ups and develop existing micro and small businesses to drive job creation and to provide accessible high quality supports for your business ideas. Here are some of the ways in which we do just that:
Business Information & Advisory Services
- General business advice and information from Business Advice Clinics to Business Mentor Programme to Digital Advice Clinics.???????????????
- Information on other enterprise related government services
- Advice on contacting relevant local authority departments on planning, rates, licensing etc.
- Advice and information on accessing public procurement processes.
- Advice on energy efficiency grant aid and supports such as LEAN for Micro, Green for Micro
Enterprise Support Services
- Financial support for start-up and business development. (Micro Finance Ireland Loan)
- Training supports e.g. Start Your Own Business Programmes, Management Development programmes, social media, sales and marketing etc.
- Information on business networks (Cork Craft & Design, Network Ireland, CorkBIC, Cork Chamber, Glanmire Chamber, Blarney Chamber & Ballincollig Chamber)
- Supports for businesses to trade online -Trading Online Voucher (TOV) Scheme?
- Progression pathway for high potential start-ups and high growth companies to Enterprise Ireland including access to Business Angels, New Frontiers Programme etc.
- GradStart offers Local Enterprise Office client companies financial support to hire top graduate talent and develop a talent pipeline. One Irish or International graduate can be hired at any one time for a two-year period by eligible companies. During the placement, the company must define the project aligned to its growth plan for each graduate to complete. Graduates must also be assigned an in-company mentor to support their development.
- Enterprise Ireland's Agile Innovation Fund is open to Local Enterprise Office clients. It could allow your business to access up to 50% in support for product, process or service development projects with a total cost of up to €300,000 - with fast track approval.
- Digital Start provides support to adopt a digital strategy, technical and/or advisory services for eligible businesses.?Our expert digital consultants help to develop a unique digital strategy that transforms businesses by identifying where you are on your digital business journey, developing a digital adaptation plan based on your identified need and assisting you to implement your digital plan.?
Entrepreneurship Support Services
- Education – Primary & Second level programmes, Student Enterprise programme , collaborating with MTU with their Student Inc Programme, & UCC with their Ignite Programmes.
- Female entrepreneurship, National Women’s Enterprise Day
- Social entrepreneurship, networking, collaboration with Cork City Partnership.
- Enterprise promotional activities which aid business and people to connect and build their network via attending and or showcase at LEO Cork City events.
