Your Corporate Event - 5 Reasons Why a Magician Can Help

Are you planning a corporate event and looking for a way to make it more memorable?

Do you want to impress your attendees with an exciting experience that showcases your brand and message?

With so many events and competing companies, do you want to stand out from the rest?

A magician can be a valuable asset to your business in more ways than you may realise.

In this article, I’ll share some tips and strategies on how to use magic to create a memorable and impactful experience for your attendees.

Your Corporate Event - What I Can Do

  • Attracting attention. In today's competitive market, it can be hard to stand out from the crowd. However, you can incorporate magic into your marketing efforts, helping to capture the attention of potential clients, and ensuring that they remember your brand. Magic can be a powerful tool to deliver your message memorably with impact. For example, if you’re introducing an upcoming product, you can employ magic to demonstrate its features or benefits.

  • Improve your team morale and cohesion. Magic can foster a positive and fun work culture, and promote teamwork, communication, and collaboration among your employees. Magic can also motivate and inspire your employees, as well as challenge them to think outside the box and learn new skills. For example, a company that offers magic workshops or courses for its employees can enhance their productivity and creativity

  • Enhancing brand perception. A magician can enhance the perception of your brand by associating it with wonder, excitement, and innovation. By incorporating magic into your marketing campaigns or corporate events, you can create a positive and memorable image for your brand. This can help build trust and loyalty among your target audience.

  • Create a WOW moment at trade shows! Corporate events can be long and exhausting. Attendees may hear many speakers and presentations throughout the day. That’s why it’s imperative to create a WOW moment that captures their attention and leaves a lasting impression. This can be a grand illusion or just a simple trick executed perfectly. The key is to create a sense of wonder and excitement that breaks the monotony and makes attendees remember your event. Audience participation is a key element of magic and it can be excellent to involve those at your stand. You can ask volunteers to participate in a trick or invite the entire audience to participate in a group activity. With the audience involved in the magic, your event will be more interactive and engaging for your attendees.

  • Breaking the ice. In business settings, it can sometimes be challenging to break the ice and establish connections with potential clients or partners. A magician can serve as a great icebreaker, creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Magic tricks can spark conversations, allowing you to connect with people on a personal level and establish meaningful relationships.

Anything else to know?

Not all magicians are the same. You need to hire a professional magician who understands your audience and industry, and who can adapt their style and content accordingly. A skilled magician will do their research and preparation before the event and communicate with you to understand your expectations and objectives. They will also be able to handle any challenges or surprises that may arise.

When you work with me I'll help customise my magic to fit your brand, from simple things such as including using your logo in card tricks to using your branding as the finale for more elaborate tricks. If you are releasing an upcoming product, this could be included in a magic routine or at least demonstrate the benefits of using your products.

Case Studies

Case #1

A local investment company asked me to create a range of magic tricks that would highlight each point of their presentation to potential clients. They were going to theme their product launch with a magical theme about how investors could create money.

After meeting the clients and discussing their goals and messages I went to the drawing board to come up with some routines. One trick involved turning a blank piece of paper into a banknote. Later on in the night for the finale, a voting-type box that the audience had been putting slips of paper with questions in, on display all the time, would be opened and £1000 in notes would spill out everywhere!

By incorporating these magic tricks into their presentation, the finance company was able to create a fun and interactive experience for their audience

In addition to promoting the company’s message, having a magician can also entertain clients and create a positive impression. This can be especially valuable for companies looking to build relationships with potential clients or investors.

Case #2

A York-based Wizard-themed mini golf attraction uses me to perform close-up magic on guests waiting in their queues, helping to manage the flow of customers, and giving them an exciting diversion during especially busy periods.

They also wanted to revamp the visitor experience at their "magic potions" drink shop that has wizard-themed entertainment., I worked on creating some magic tricks that would fit in with the theme and add something to the story told to the guests by the visitor team
