I decided to write this article after being part of recent and massive layoffs at my company. I became very empathetic with those in the same shoes, as landing a new opportunity can be hard, challenging, and emotionally draining. It is very much a pleasure for me to write this article about Keystone Partners, as they were very instrumental in my professional transition, and helping me find a new path in my life. My coach, Lisa Shannon from Keystone Associates (a division of  Keystone Partners), infused in me a sense of self - belief and positivism. She helped me to understand that I wasn’t let go from my previous job, but that simply, the position was eliminated by the company period. That being laid off is not necessarily a reflection of my self-worth or value as an employee or person. That said, let me tell you more about what this great company offers.

During the months I worked with them, I had the opportunity to learn about their values and their mission. Keystone Partners provides value-added career management support to organizations and their employees. During my interview with Keystone Partners I was able to learn how this company has gone through several important changes in the last 30 years. Keystone Partners was founded in 1982, providing career transition/outplacement services. 1996 added leadership development and executive coaching. 1999 added career transition exclusively for senior executives/C-Suite.

Dave Melville, Founder and Chairman of leading recruitment firm, WinterWyman, recognized the need to offer effective career transition services to employees who had been laid off. In 1982, he founded Keystone Partners and embarked on the mission to consult with companies who had to separate employees, as well as support new job seekers who were looking to regain employment. 

Keystone’s growth continued in the relatively new field of outplacement, as organizations realized the benefits of using the firm’s expertise to plan a separation, protect its brand, reduce unemployment costs, and provide support to valued employees as they searched for employment.
