Your Company is the Company It Keeps

There’s a saying in business that your company is the company it keeps.

This is certainly true when it comes to the partnerships between GM and our outstanding suppliers.

These suppliers represent the partnerships that are helping propel GM toward our vision of a world of Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions, Zero Congestion. Additionally, it was these strong partners who worked so closely with us to overcome the challenges of 2020.

Earlier this year, GM recognized our top supplier partners – 116 companies from 15 different countries around the world – as part of our 28th annual Supplier of the Year event media release.

This week, the GM team hosted a virtual event that recognized each of our suppliers in a very special way. I was so proud of the creativity our team, and the heartfelt thankyou they were able to deliver in a virtual forum. On behalf of the GM International team, I want to congratulate all of our Supplier of the Year award recipients and all who participated in this event!

In a COVID world, it is critical that we keep finding new ways to reach out to our valued partners to recognize the incredible work they do. In addition to all of our Supplier of the Year recipients, I want to give a special shout out to the GM team that organized this event – led by Renee Elliott and including Shilpan Amin, Tom McMillen, Danielle Olsen, Sarah Rejewski, Kathy Ryan, Amy Gaggos and singer-songwriter-buyer Jeff Washburn – and of course our award winning emcee, Rhonda Walker of WDIV Detroit – the entire team did an excellent job!
