When it comes to revenue growth I often say, it takes more than sales to achieve it.
Culture has a huge role to play, and in this edition of V.I.T.A.L Insights we hear from workplace culture expert Nick Jenkins .
Nick shows us how to have a business where every employee is not only engaged but genuinely excited to be there and the impact that has on company performance.
This isn't just a dream—it’s the reality for companies that prioritise an extraordinary company culture.?
Let's first explore exactly what workplace culture is and how it can drive extraordinary results.
Perhaps the simplest description, and one of?Nick's favourite ways to describe company culture, is from organisation consultants, Deal & Kennedy:
“Culture is the way we do things around here.”
But, while simple, that definition doesn’t quite go far enough to be useful.
Breaking it down, “the way we do things around here” comprises a huge range of activity, at individual, team and organisational levels.?
This activity includes behaviours, values, methods, processes, rituals, decision-making, language, initiatives and policies.
Consequently, your company culture – “the way you do things around here” – is the sum of these constituent parts. If your team aren’t aligned or engaged with what is important in your business, it leads to unhappy clients, reputational damage and costly inefficiencies.

3 个月I’ve heard the term “trickle down” before and it always made me ponder Rebecca. With culture, I can understand why those in L and M set the tone and example but I’ve always thought that it should be maybe “trickle all ways”? Would love to hear your thoughts on this?
