Osteopath + Coach- I help clinic owners get a reliable supply of new patients into their clinic.
We've had a lot of practitioners reporting Google My Business doing some strange things lately—reviews disappearing and reappearing, "Book Online" links vanishing and then returning.
??No need to panic! Google is aware of these issues. This often happens when they're rolling out a major update. Instead of spending hours trying to contact Google My Business support (which is notoriously slow), just check back every 5-7 days—things usually settle on their own.
??Google Reviews Update Your review count should have returned to normal. There are exciting changes ahead for Google My Business, and I’ll keep you posted as always!
One of the biggest updates is that Google now uses keyword indexing for reviews. If you haven’t updated your auto-responder or review request, it’s worth tweaking it to include a prompt like:
????Would you like to leave a review? Not sure what to say? You could start with what brought you into the practice—mentioning a keyword like frozen shoulder or sciatica will make a huge difference to where your listing shows.
??Why does this matter? When someone searches for a physio that treats frozen shoulder or a frozen shoulder clinic, Google now pulls keywords directly from reviews. This means your practice takes up more space on Google Maps, literally pushing competitors further down.
More visibility = more traffic and more patients.
PS. Whenever you are ready, here are 3 ways I can help you get more patients, get more time back for yourself and increase your practice profits:
