Your chance to share your experience to determine what Information is needed to satisfy the Golden Thread
As you might know, BIM4Housing has been helping define the detailed information that will be required to support the Golden Thread Initiative, established by L&Q and MHCLG.
What is clear that, while the legal requirement for an ‘Accountable’ or ‘Responsible Person’ to know everything they need to know to ensure a building is safe makes sense, understanding what they need to know in all circumstances to manage all eventualities is a real challenge and they need as much help as possible from subject matter experts from across the industry – Manufacturers, Designers, Owners, Contractors, Inspectors and Operators.
Our BIM4Housing Members have been contributing to the various GTI Working Groups:
I am Chairing the Asset & Survey Information Group so, within BIM4Housing, we have recently completed Round Table Workshops that tap into our community of experts with deep knowledge about specific asset types and what different stakeholders consider vital information to satisfy the Regulator
If you feel you can contribute to any (or all) of these, just let me know [email protected] and we can share the Doodle Poll
If you have colleagues or contacts who you feel would like to have a say in what Information should be collected, and why, please forward this email to them.

3 年Hi George, im. Interested. Thanks
All things Technical and standards in the Finishes and Interior Sector, now retired.
3 年George I wonder if you have also looked at the Firewalls too? so much time is spent on linear seals and fire doors that we sometimes forget the whole wall assembly. Drylining (flexible walls) have a number of permutations and interface details that could lead to failure in the event of a fire. Please let me know if we can help?
