Your business is not designed to be an island!!

I am still in awe of how an idea turned into a reality and I am now witnessing the impact of the event. I am talking about our Christmas in July meet and greet event that we hosted on July 25, 2022. I could not have done it without my wonderful and amazing co-hosts Kimberly Lechnick La'Quita Monley Laura Armstrong Terrell Salley-Holliman Wendie Veloz who made this event a success.

One thing that I discovered is that 2 hours is not enough time for as much information that we wanted to share about the holiday and strategic planning. Therefore, I have created a group on LinkedIn in order to keep sharing tips, recipes, gift ideas, etc. I was amazed at all the engagement from the guests. We had a task that required groups to recreate their own lyrics for the 12 days of Christmas. I was impressed with the lyrics and the props that they even included. I was laughing so hard... definitely a welcome change from most of the zoom calls that I attend.

I definitely want to highlight our attendees who courageously led their groups and sang for the team. Mike Ashabraner Herbie J Pilato Dr. LaQuita Parks (Honoris Causa) Jeanette Y. Martin ~ Master Connector Kellee C Williams Rodney Thomas . I was so excited to see them forge ahead and having a blast. Networking to me is about getting to know others. I have been to many events where we do what many of us label as routine yet we miss the chance to fully express who we are. I believe that the holidays are for family, friends and fun so this event fit well into that mold.

I just want to express that many of the ideas that you may have can easily be implemented if you ask. I share this quote regularly, " If you do not ask, the answer is ALWAYS no." We often prevent innovation of new ideas because we talk ourselves out of what we desire. We grab the closest excuse and allow it to stop us from seeing our greatness within. That was a routine for me on my journey with depression that I now move beyond the excuses and that is my daily mission. Others have no idea what we are capable of unless we speak up and out about what we do in the world. Simply said I believe that we have to be our biggest cheerleader. Cheerleaders are there to support you whether you are winning or losing so if we keep that philosophy with ourselves we can bounce back from challenges and trials a lot quicker and consistently.

I am excited to begin a new season with Zondra Evans and her network! I will be filming 6 episodes and I am now seeking individuals who are interested in investing in their brand and taking it to another level as we conclude this year and bring in a brighter year in 2023.
