Your business community is waiting for you…

Your business community is waiting for you…

Since Sunday, I’ve been in three different places this week! I flew back from Sydney after a fantastic QCE, attended a Connector event in Auckland on Tuesday, and then back on the plane to Christchurch to run a client session on Wednesday.

Looking forward to staying put this weekend & spending quality time with Steve & my fur babies!

I loved the client session I ran in Christchurch because it’s an awesome team who are just starting out on their EOS journey. We learnt about hitting the ceiling & how to break through, built the accountability chart, set rocks & scorecard and learned how to run effective meetings.

I can’t wait to see how this team gains traction & be part of their growth journey as they achieve all their goals! EOS is a proven process for a reason and I know that if they stick with it until it becomes second nature, their business is going to get the results they want as well as returning to a good work/life balance.

Here’s this week’s business tip, life hack & find of the week… And don’t forget the inspirational quote, which you can download as a wallpaper or lock screen for your phone.

As always, if you find great things that you’d like to share then feel free to email me for inclusion in one of my weekly newsletters.

BETTER BUSINESS : Do you need a stronger Integrator?

I discussed the rocket fuel combo of Visionary & Integrator in last week’s newsletter. For a lot of us business owners, we hear about the Visionary & immediately see ourselves reflected in this role.

But what about the other key component in this dream duo? What does an Integrator do?

The best Integrators bring accountability, leadership & order to your business to keep everyone rowing in the same direction. They constantly strive to move the business forward – cultivating a Grow or Die mindset throughout the entire team.

Great Integrators are clearly vital to any organisation. But how do you know when your Integrator isn’t doing so great?

There are 3 signs to look for – these indicate that the organisation is feeling scattered & unproductive.

  1. ?????Lack of accountability

Company goals are consistently not being achieved. Rock completion falls before 80% for each quarter, less than 90% of to-do’s get done each week & there’s little follow-through on scorecard numbers.

2.?????Recurring issues

You notice that similar issues keep coming up in Level 10s & even though your team goes through the IDS process, issues never seem to go away for good.

3.?????Slow decision making

Team meetings feel tedious with lengthy discussions that end with no concrete decisions or action points. Even if decisions are made & next steps are outlined, there is no follow-through.

If you’re seeing these common symptoms, it may be that you need a stronger Integrator. You want to prioritise strengthening & supporting your Integrator (or hiring if you don’t have one yet) so that you get your business back on track & avoid long-term issues.

This article outlines resources to help your Integrator develop stronger skills. There’s also a free community for Visionaries & Integrators that has additional videos & actionable tips.

And if you’re an EOS client, we spent a good deal of time in our EOS tool deep-dive about the new tools available for Visionaries & Integrators – so hit me up for these resources – I'd love to share!

PS: I have been hounding EOS worldwide to provide localised content so thrilled that they have launched a LinkedIn Company Page for New Zealand & Australia. And I get to help them put content up.

Please follow this page so that they will continue to put good, local content up & feel free to share your EOS stories with this page ??

BETTER LIFE : Increase productivity & revenue by 300%

At this month’s Connector event (a community for mid-sized, high growth businesses), one of the expert workshops was led by Liam. We learnt about flow – what it is and how we can harness flow to be more productive & get more enjoyment out of life.

Flow is a state of consciousness where you’re at your optimal energy, engagement & productivity. You are at one with the task at hand, as action and awareness sync to create an effortless momentum. We often describe this feeling as being “in the zone.”

Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi who has researched flow for decades, describes it like this:

“Flow is when you are completely involved in an activity for its own sake. The ego falls away. Time flies. Every action, movement, and thought follows inevitably from the previous one, like playing jazz. Your whole being is involved, and you’re using your skills to the utmost.”

It’s deeply enjoyable & satisfying – it also enhances wellbeing!

It was incredible listening & learning from Liam because we can intentionally create these flow states. We discussed in groups about our experiences with flow & learnt how we could design our lives to be in flow regularly.?

Being part of the workshop in-person meant we could share & really relate to each other’s experiences as well as get motivated to action what we learnt. It’s just so good for the soul to be part of a like-minded community that is all about supporting each other.

Covid has been tough on K iwi businesses & business communities have really suffered. I want to do my part in helping whoever I can so I’d love to invite you to an in-person workshop hosted by Vijay & I, that gets you thinking ON your business, not IN your business.

Every business needs an "operating system" to strengthen and grow. EOS is a complete system that helps strengthen the six key components of a business & helps it grow from good to great.

Our interactive workshop takes you through the tools and system that over 130,000 companies worldwide are using – who on average have seen a 40% increase in their bottom line.

This is not a sales pitch – we genuinely share with you all the EOS Foundational Tools & how to use them with our value of ‘Help First’.

There’s nothing to buy at the workshop, even if you bring your credit card! We just want you to get value out of it & walk away with actionable next steps that will take your business to the next level.

Register here & I’ll see you next Friday.

And if you’d like to find out more about Connectors, then please do let me know... Don’t be alone – get in flow with a like-minded community!

?FIND OF THE WEEK : What’s your good deed of the day?

You may be familiar with 'Harold the Giraffe', either from your school days or from your kids!

Harold is part of Life Education Trust’s education programme that teaches important life skills that aren’t covered in the school curriculum. It’s vital information for children to make informed decisions about their health, their bodies & their lives.

We fund raise to ensure we can keep providing these programmes to kids all over New Zealand.

Covid has been especially tough for charities & with children’s education already so impacted by Covid, Life Education Trust is doing everything we can to ensure every kid gets access to quality education.

It’s been particularly tough for us this year & I would love if you could support us to help this charity, as well as another deserving charity – The Covert Theatre.

Next Wednesday is our Charity Night at Covert Theatre. There’s a hilarious show by the Improv Bandits lined up and we would LOVE to see you there.

In fact, I’m begging – can you PLEASE help us fill the theatre or if you can’t make it, can you spare a donation?

Each ticket purchased puts a child through the classroom. It includes a free drink for you & a donation to the Trust, plus each additional drink you buy helps the Covert Theatre – so not that we encourage drinking at the Life Education Trust but we certainly encourage you to laugh & enjoy yourself :)

Get your tickets here .

If you’re unable to make it on Wednesday, please consider donating for a good cause. We truly appreciate any donation you’re able to give.
