I just had a?fantastic conversation with Loris Bianchin?on the podcast, and it left me thinking about how we each leave a unique mark—whether we realize it or not.
Loris, a business coach with a background in engineering and sales, shared some great insights on personal branding. You know how you always hear about brands when it comes to companies, right? Logos, slogans, all that. Well, he flipped the script and talked about?your?personal brand—what people think, feel, and say about you when you're not around.
The cool thing? Your personal brand isn’t just about the clothes you wear or your job title. It’s about the emotions and values you pass on to others. Whether you're a leader, a friend, or a colleague, your brand is what stays behind in the minds of those you interact with.
So, how do you build your brand?
Loris had some interesting advice on this: start with?self-awareness. Really get to know your personality, strengths, and weaknesses. Be honest with yourself. What makes you,?you? What do you want people to think when they think of you? It's not about being perfect (we all have flaws, after all), it’s about being authentic and consistent in how you present yourself across different parts of your life.
Another big takeaway:?trust and feedback. People need to trust you, whether in personal or professional settings. Listening to feedback—especially the hard stuff—helps you tweak how you come across. So, when someone offers advice or points out where you can improve, don't shy away. Use it to improve your brand.
Loris also touched on something we all face—imposter syndrome. We’ve all had that feeling of "Am I good enough?"?" And that’s okay. A little doubt can keep you sharp, but don’t let it hold you back. Catching that inner voice telling yourself you can’t do something, is like catching your inner Saboteurs (remember that episode?).

I loved this quote from Adam Grant:?"Personality is not your destiny."?You can always grow, adapt, and become better at how you show up in the world.
What’s your next step?
Think about who you are and how you want to be seen. Are you clear on your values? Are you making the impact you want in your relationships, career, and even on strangers? If not, there’s no better time to start building that up.
And if you’re feeling stuck or not sure where to begin, don’t stress. It’s a process. Start small—maybe a bit of self-reflection, ask for feedback, or even just think about how you want to show up tomorrow. And if you want some support, just click reply to this email and let's talk!
But first,?listen to the full episode 34.
And then let me know your thoughts on personal branding—what’s your story?
Best, Christine
