YOUR BRAND= YOUR MESSAGE
Personal branding, by definition, is the process by which we market ourselves to others. It sums up your unique promise of value. Your personal brand statement is distinctive to you and you alone. It’s about purposefully packaging that “brand called You.”
When you have a solid personal brand, you’ll be more memorable, more impressive, and people will wind up having a more favorable opinion of you.
This "you are a brand" mindset can be counter intuitive to embrace for many of us that were raised not to "toot our own horn" lest we be thought of as "bragging".
But Personal Branding is not bragging. Rather, it's an intentional process of simply and authentically telling the world who you are, what you're great at (honestly) and what they can come to you for help with (your specialty).
Personal Branding is rooted in authenticity or it just doesn't work.
In today's online environment business moves faster than ever before, and more information is readily available to assess and gauge talent more quickly and thoroughly than ever before. In two clicks your entire life (FaceBook/Instagram/Twitter) and career (LinkedIn) can be reviewed in great detail.
