Creating your own brand and connecting with people have become one of the top soft skills needed not only for people searching for a job but for everyone who has message to share with the world.
Your brand should tell about your values, your competencies, your talents and what you stand for. It should tell about your story and why you are doing what you are doing to let others know how you can help them.?These elements represent the heart of your brand which can help you define a clear brand strategy.
Why LinkedIn?
First, your brand is not only about being active on LinkedIn as many people think. It is about clarity of who you are and how you want to be perceived both online and offline and remember that everything that happens online is PUBLIC.
The way you perceive or think about yourself will impact how people perceive you or think about you. That's why I believe that there is a lot of inner growth that should happen from inside before getting on the outer part.
Additionally, LinkedIn has more than 870 millions members and only 3% are active and creating content. It is a great opportunity for you to stand out and make a difference by simply sharing your expertise, knowledge or simple your story which may inspire many.
How can you get started today?
Find a great reason to go for your branding beyond selling your services. Find something you can contribute with to the world. Give from your time, share your experience and skills, and focus on adding value which can be even more rewarding.
2. Align the heart of your brand with your message
When your why is clear, your message goes to the heart of people. When there is alignment between who you are and your message, you create congruence and authenticity. People or companies who make promises and do everything to walk the talk are trusted easily.

I see a lot of posts with sophisticated terms and fancy expressions. They are really great but the question here: are you on this platform to impress or to get your message out and reach more people?

People resonate more with stories that inspire and drive actions instead of data and information. Storytelling is key in any communication as it triggers emotions and make people connected to your message. Through stories, people can relate and get inspired to take actions.
5. Use pictures or ads
LinkedIn posts with images see?2x higher comment rates . Brands looking to get the most engagement from their posts should include an image with each post.
I use Canva for all my designs, videos, and ads. You can do a lot of things in Canva for free to create more engagements. There is also the Pro version which give you more possibilities. Here few examples of what you can do to create your own designs with your pictures. But don't forget to create designs in line with your visual identity. Try to read more about the psychology of colors to get you started and choose colors that inspire you or tell about your personality.

You can use bold generators instead of capital letters. WHEN YOU WRITE IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS is like you are SHOUTING. I have seen complete posts written with capital letters. I never read them. ??

Not engaging is like being in a meeting and ignoring someone who said Hi to you. ???????????????? ???????? ???????????? ???? ?????? to build great relations. Take time to like or comment other’s posts as your comments can be an added value to your network and can make you noticeable for others to connect with you.?
8. Measure your brand
Check your social selling index score measures how effective you are at establishing your professional brand, finding the right people, engaging with insights, and building relationships.
With a score of 75, it leaves me among the top 1 percent of people in my industry and in my network and give me insights how to improve my brand.
Start now a I believe everyone can add value and make a difference. It will depend on the actions you will take everyday and your commitment to maintain your brand.
