Your Body Wants to be Healthy

Your Body Wants to be Healthy

In this 2nd part of my series of articles pertaining to the holistic healing of the mind/body/spirit, I will delve into the body.?If you have never really thought about your body and the health of your body, you have missed out on an incredible and truly miraculous gift that we have all been given.?I frequently marvel at the capacity for our bodies to heal themselves, even after significant trauma.

Not every body is completely healthy when it is birthed into existence, and not ever body maintains its optimum self throughout an entire lifetime.?Far too many factors responsible for this, and it is not my intention to cover all of these factors.?It is my intention to talk in general terms for the general population in hopes that, if you resonate with my words, you will be your own best health advocate and take more control in helping your body to be its best self.

Struggles are a part of life that cannot always be avoided. Strengthening your connection between your mind,?body, and spirit is a holistic and natural way to benefit your overall health. ?One of the biggest culprits in reducing our health is stress and our stress is a result of our thoughts and worries.

You may not even be aware that it is your body’s manifestation of illness is actually a result of the correlation to your thoughts.?You stress about your job, family, finances, world events, etc. and the body starts to break down.?What might some of these physical symptoms look like.

  • Headaches
  • Body Pain
  • Upset Stomach
  • Chest Pain
  • Lethargy
  • Insomnia
  • Lack of sexual desire?

In case you haven’t read the first article, let’s define the terms mind/body/spirit again.?

  • ?Mind: Thinking in ways that produce a mindset of expansion, appreciation, creativity, enthusiasm, calm and peace of mind.????????????
  • Body:?Eating foods that help your body to feel its best self and exercising in ways that you enjoy and benefit from.
  • Spirit:?Living from your authentic self and connecting with a higher source, your intuitive self.?

It is important to recognize that a healthy body is free of disease and illness, and it is not riddled with pain. ?Frequently, when you have these symptoms they are just that, symptoms.?They are not the source of the pain.??

A healthy body requires a healthy diet, nutrition and regular exercise.?Eating a healthy diet does not mean that you don’t get to enjoy food.?Quite the contrary.?There are lots of great foods that are healthy, but if you have been eating lots of sugar and processed food items it is going to take your body a bit of time to adjust. ?Usually, it is the mindset of the individual that is resistant to the dietary change, not the body.?

When our bodies are fed the food nutrients necessary, get the vital exercise required, and get enough sleep to rejuvenate itself, the typical result is a healthy body.?Our body knows how to heal itself and it naturally desires health.?

We were born with a brilliant DNA and cellular structure that is simply miraculous.?Isn’t it extraordinary that even the littlest thing, such as a cut, will only heal and produce enough skin to make it whole again??It doesn’t give us more or less skin than we need. It knows how to heal. It is a healing machine.?

The main concept behind the holistic mind/body/spirit connection is that we are all more than just our thoughts or our bodies or our spirit. ?All these things combine to give us our identity, determine our health, and make us who we are.?They are all interconnected and not healing all three of these parts of ourselves is not allowing us to be completely healed.
