Does the car business have you tired, drained and overworked??
The answer is probably yes. Many people in the car business are living off adrenaline and adrenaline alone. This is NOT healthy. As you all know this business is a marathon, not a race. As we launch this year we must train ourselves for the long haul.?
I get it, customers always show up in the showroom when it’s time for lunch or dinner. There is never a good time in the car business. We have to make time. If not, you will find yourself miserable and unhealthy.?
There is hope! This year join me in making your body the vessel to your success. Start by doing these three simple things daily and find yourself with more energy and ability to focus.?
1.Fuel your body with energy.??
Burgers, Starbucks and Pizza runs are NOT cutting it these days. I know we all work a lot of hours but as we know, this lifestyle will affect your health and drag you down.?
If you did a general assessment of the fuel you are putting into your body on a daily basis would it be the cheap budget gas or the premium clean fuel you would put into your sports car? What if you started fueling your body like the Porsha it truly is??

Tip: Try packing a lunch and taking healthy snacks that you can munch on. I remember says that I would starve myself until I found a moment to eat and then would eat anything I could find - most often not the healthiest option. Come to work prepared with easy to grab items and make time in the day to slow down for a few minutes and eat.?
2. Move Your Body. How far will a car go with a check engine light on or a loose lug nut? It’s the same concept with your body! When you are hustling to make your dreams come true, it is easy to make your health the last priority. What if you made it one of the top priorities so it could go faster and further??
Tip: Make it a priority to move your body everyday, even if it’s just for 15 minutes. It doesn’t have to be complicated! Exercise will release endorphins that will give you energy to complete the tasks you need to get done in a day. So I would say that investment of your time has a greater pay off than you might think!?
3. Make Sleep a Priority. Again, this comes down to ensuring that your body is running in an optimal state. Trust me, I know the days in the dealerships are long and you’re still trying to make an effort for life outside of work, but your sleep shouldn’t be the thing to go! Sleep is just as important as any other piece of the success process. Your body needs to rejuvenate and your mind needs to shut down so that it can function properly.?
Tip: Don’t have time for sleep? Where are you wasting time in your day that you could add to your sleep time? Keep track of how many hours you are scrolling through social media that could be directed to sleep. Shut off all electronic devices early in the evening so you can get to sleep faster. Make sleep a priority for even just one week and see the difference in your performance that week.?
When you start to look at health as an investment in your success, rather than just an inconvenience in your schedule you will begin to see an improvement in your performance and an increase in your stamina. All of which are big components of success!?

3 年I find if I set my phone down at night and leave it alone about a half hour before I go to bed I sleep better. The same with in the morning, leave it alone until I am ready for the day. Great advice! Thanks
