Your Body is ??

I am going to ask this question at the end of the article when you will have context to answer and let's start this read with - What is Self love Ladies?

Let's talk about one essential pillar of self love which is self care.

We all have known about self care, this terminology is all over internet and everywhere now a days. But do we understand its true meaning ? We often wonder from where to start, how to prioritize, what steps to take on the daily basis, is it just about looking good and having a healthy body? All these questions keep popping inside us, right.

My perspective of self care is taking care of yourself by nourishing your Mind, Body and spirit. It can be easy and difficult depending on your own thoughts and belief systems

Some of you would say "Batul I am working or I have a family or I have children or I have in-laws to take care of or I fall under all the categories and because of one or the other reason I don't get any time to do so". Well all of that comes from limiting beliefs, yes limiting beliefs- belief that if I prioritize myself I am selfish, and so I need to sacrifice my own needs just to keep fulfilling everyone else's. And this is why I said self care can be both easy and difficult and it depends on you !

So first of all let us rewire and reset our few old programming starting from this belief !

Prioritizing yourself is not selfishness. I used to think the same way, that prioritizing myself can be selfishness but the more I worked on myself the more I realized it is not selfishness. In fact it is the 1st step to selflessness. Because when you are healthy from mind, body and spirit only then you can take care of anyone else, only then you can pour into them with complete love and joy, only then you can connect with them on deeper levels to strengthen your bond and relationships, only then you can come up with unique creative ideas to channel them into your work, your business, only then you can take care of them in an empowering way without compromising your and their needs.

And all of you who chose to, who decided to read this article are also doing some form of self care because you are reprogramming your mind to think and question your old beliefs. And if you take actions from here by starting to prioritize your self care, my job would be done. Now wondering from where to start ? Do not worry I have solution for that. I would suggest you with what I did for myself, and if you have to go with only 1 key take away from this article let it be something from where I started my self care journey-

Treating my body as my Temple

By that I mean anything that is not good for your body for today, tomorrow and for your future self, do not put it in your body and accept it.

With that thought process I started eating healthy, wholesome and nutritious foods as much as I can by maintaining a balance. It doesn't mean I don't indulge ever, of course I do. But I maintain 80/20 rule where 80% of time I choose healthy electrifying food and 20% indulgence. Start your journey of Self care by this one foundational step and start treating your body as your Temple and not Dumpyard !
