3 ways storytelling works for any business. Whether you like it or not.

“Maybe we should try some storytelling as well!”

I had just told a business leader that I focus on storytelling as a strategic tool for businesses. And this was the immediate response. That they might try “doing some storytelling”.

There is a huge mistake hidden in believing that storytelling is “something extra” for your business.

On the other hand, learning how to use storytelling strategically is a huge opportunity for everyone that want to grow their business without spending resources.

A great start (the most important one) is to understand the 3 main ways storytelling works for any business. And why you don’t have to spend any time on communication. You just need to be your best self! (continued further down)

Why is it a huge mistake is to think that storytelling is something “extra”?

Because stories about you are constantly created and shared within your network.

People constantly tell stories about you. Those stories come from experiences made in interactions with you and your business. It is what your reputation/ social brand is made of.

That’s why you and your business need to “be your best self”!

When you or your organization is delivering the best services and products, creating awesome products - walking that extra mile for your clients. At the same time as you are doing 'biz as usual', you are building your reputation as more and more stories about you are being spread through your network.

There are 3 main ways stories are being created and shared for every business:

1)????? Your clients will share stories about how they experienced you, what you did for them.

2)????? Your business partners will share stories about how they experienced you when working with you.

3)????? Your staff with families will share stories about you as a leader and why they like working with you.

They will all share stories about you, your highlights and downfalls. ?Things they’ve seen or heard. Stories they’ve got from others.

This is why it’s such a mistake to think that storytelling is an addition to what you do.

Stories about you is what your reputation, your social brand, is made of. Those stories, your stories will make or break your business!

And that’s why everyone needs to learn how to handle storytelling as the strategic tool it is.
