Biotech companies are laying off workers in droves!
Pharma giants such as Novartis and Biogen have laid off thousands of workers around the world in the past year, and the trend appears to be continuing.
AbbVie recently cut 99 jobs in the US.
BMS did the same with 48 jobs in New Jersey, adding to the 261 jobs already cut in California last November.
And small biotechs have not been spared!
In recent news, Y-mAbs Therapeutics, Xalud Therapeutics, Greenlight Biosciences, Oncorus and Freeline Therapeutics have also announced new waves of layoffs.
